Leonard Diamond

Leonard Diamond joined Goodman in 1951, serving as Executive Vice President, President and then Chairman Emeritus until his passing on his 82nd birthday in February 2009. Leonard was the driving force moving Goodman from an Atlanta contractor to a regional contractor.

Mr. Diamond graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. and was involved in the finishing industry for over fifty years.

Mr. Diamond served as president of the Atlanta Chapter of Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, Chairman of the Industrial Committee for the national association of PDCA, representative to the Joint National Committee of the Associated General Contractors; Associated Specialty Contractors and the American Subcontractors Association, and served on the construction panel of the American Arbitration Association.

He wrote many articles and conducted seminars for a variety of industry affiliations. He served as a consultant to wallcovering manufactures for product testing, analysis and troubleshooting. He engaged in many civic and cultural endeavors including the Rotary Club of Atlanta and the Woodruff Arts Center.
